American Apparel Isn't Sweating It

Dov Charney, a senior partner for American Apparel, Los Angeles, was honored by the Fashion Business Incubator ? an L.A.-based, nonprofit fashion organization ? for his efforts to provide sweatshop-free conditions for his workers.

"We're honoring Dov for his sweatshop-free ethics, his commitment to providing a living wage for his workers and his overall contribution to the Los Angeles apparel industry," says Frances Harder, executive director, FBI.

Charney received the honor at FBI's second annual awards and fundraising dinner earlier this summer.
