Retailer Hall of Fame Winners Announced

NEW YORK-The 2002 National Jeweler's Retailer Hall of Fame award winners are Carolyn Pope (category 1, single store); Lauren Kulchinsky (category II, multiple stores), and Terry Burman (category III, jewelry chains, supersellers).
Pope is the owner of Crews Jewelry in Grandview, Mo.;

Kulchinsky is partner in Mayfair Diamonds and Fine Jewelry in Commack, N.Y., and Burman is chairman of Sterling Inc., Akron, Ohio, and group CEO of Signet Group Plc., Sterling's U.K. parent.

A full, detailed report on the winners will appear as a supplement to the August 1 issue of National Jeweler. The special issue, which celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Hall of Fame awards, will also include stories on all 40 past Hall of Fame winners.

Jewelers of America has joined National Jeweler as a co-sponsor to the event. Additionally, to celebrate the 15th anniversary, National Jeweler will be honor the 2002 winners at an event to be heldin conjunction with the New York State Jewelers Association's Award's Dinner. The dinner will be held on Saturday evening, July 27, at the Boat House in Central Park. Look for more details about the gala event in the weeks to come.
