Made in the USA Makes Big News

Tuesday, August 21 2007

After I wrote about how to capitalize on Made in the USA the other day, I read an interesting article in USA Today about the same subject.  You can view the article here.

It seems that Made in the USA is in the mainstream and it's on everyone's mind as we continue to have issues with products made in other countries, especially China.

THE REAL WORLD RETAILING TAKEAWAY
It may serve you well to focus on your made in the USA message for the next few months (and beyond) as the media continues to exploit issues with products coming from other countries including China.

While I'm not an advocate of changing your line-up of products to capitalize on the trend, you may want to source at least one product line that's made in the USA if all you have is lines that are manufactured in other countries (especially if the countries are on the undesirable list).

What do you think about the Made in the USA trend?
