Intl. Trade Expert to Speak at RILA Conference

ARLINGTON, VA -- C.C Tung, chairman of Orient Overseas International Limited, and one of the most prominent figures in international trade, will be speaking at the Retail Industry Leaders Association's (RILA) Logistics 2005 conference to be held at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego, CA, from January

30-February 2, 2005. Tung will address both the challenges and opportunities for the retail industry in China.

Tung was awarded the Honorary Port Pilot Award, the highest honor presented by the Port of Long Beach to individuals for their outstanding leadership and achievements in international trade. He was chairman for the Hong Kong Shipowner's Association from 1993-1995 and the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce from 1999-2001.

"Hong Kong continues to be the most important gateway to Mainland China as well as a commercial and financial center for the Asia-Pacific Region," stated Tung, "while Shanghai is one of the most important gateways to central China and the premiere domestic capital market to the mainland."
