Things Remembered Appoints Susan Davidson to Lead Merchandise and Marketing

Things Remembered Inc., the nation's largest personalized gift chain, today announced the appointment of Susan H. Davidson as senior vice president, merchandise & marketing, effective March 25. She joins Things Remembered from Zale Corp., the nation's largest specialty jewelry retailer.

Davidson will have direct responsibility for merchandising including product development, buying, merchandise planning, visual marketing, and all aspects of marketing involving external advertising, public relations and direct marketing to the company's large customer database.

"This is a strategic hire that will enable us to intensify our focus on our customers and improve the productivity of our stores," said Suzanne Sutter, president of Things Remembered.

Davidson held a variety of positions with Zale Corp., including president of Zale.com and president of Gordon Jewelry. Her merchandise career began with May Co. followed by more senior level buying roles with Macy's and Montgomery Ward.
