I have three comments on Mike Nelson's January MAIN EVENT column, Overcoming the Stereotype of the Part-Time Industry" (p. 13).
First, the mother of the bride is mentioned as having experience planning a wedding, which is largely inaccurate. The MOB's mother and father probably planned her wedding because they financed it (unless she eloped, in which case services were probably minimal). In short, the MOB doesn't know the cost of things either, especially when relatively new services (such as videography) are involved.
Second, if you have a sales
