Dallas-Area Home Prices Continue to Rise, But Lag National Average.

Aug. 14--The Dallas housing market eked out price increases while the rest of the nation was on a roll in the second ...uarter.

The median price of homes sold in the Dallas area was up 2.6 percent to $139,900 in the ...uarterly comparison, which is compiled by the National Association of Realtors.

That's less than half the 7.4 percent nationwide rise in home sales prices from second-...uarter 2002. The nationwide median home price was $168,900.
