Country neighbors: Their persistence paid off.

A friend loaned me several back issues and we've been eating them up--so many helpful and relevant articles! I think our story will give hope to others who want to live a simpler, quieter life, but who wonder how to make it happen. Let me say this, right off the top: It can happen, but maybe not the way you thought it would. So leave the door open for miracles, because they still happen--all the time! (We are in our mid-40s, age-wise.)
