specialized consulting from a business expert and a trip to Maui for
business- and wealth-building seminars.
My family and I live in Port Huron MI. We started a career in real-estate investing on a fulltime basis about 4.5 years ago. I always envisioned myself being involved in something great and prosperous, that would bring financial freedom. I would then pass along my experience to others. My wife is still currently employed full time.
In our first two years we struggled to create a portfolio of properties to sustain enough income to pay the bills. We finally created enough passive income to do just that with more family time.
As you may know, the MI the economy has just about bottomed out. We have really struggled to move forward. We seem to go back and forth, without continually moving forward. Right now the unemployment rate in St Clair County where we live is one of the highest in the USA.
We would like to expand our investing nationally and eventually Global. I feel we need to get a better handle on our existing business before our next stretch charge. Many of the techniques we have learned have become challenging because a large part of our market are unemployed. There is a lot of opportunity to buy, But commercial and residential have been difficult to fill.
We have a lot of vacancy and the phone has stopped ringing. We have been working harder than ever which is not why I chose real-estate investing as a career.
The three biggest obstacles you recently wrote about seem like they have resurfaced themselves between my ears. I have always had a vision of large success, but lately it's become disoriented. I feel we may be a small fish in the big sea of others who may enter this contest, however we are ready to do whatever it takes to launch a legacy of epic proportion obtaining all of the different kinds of wealth as the result. We will need help from those who have sat the same seat striving for something more than other said you could have, or do. Those who now continually expand their WOS. Sincerely, Struggling Realtor and Family.
