Hartz Mountain Industries and Kerasotes ShowPlace Theatres have announced plans to open a 14-screen stadium style multiplex with 2,752 seats in the Harmon Meadow development located in Secaucus.
The state-of-the-art cinema will be part of Harmon Meadow, a 175-acre mixed-use development
With the addition of the Kerasotes new stadium style theater Harmon Meadow will be one of the areas premier locations for shopping, entertainment and dining.
"This opportunity will create great entertainment in a place where people also work, shop and dine--no one does that better than Kerasotes and we are looking forward to working with them," said Emanuel Stern, resident and chief operating officer of Hartz Mountain.
Constructed in 1979, Harmon Meadow was a breakthrough in suburban development--a mixed-use facility three miles from Manhattan that attracted the region's premier office, retail and restaurant tenants. Recent additions have attracted some of the largest retailers and new restaurants, which include Wal-Mart, SAM'S Club, Linens 'n Things, HomeGoods, Marshalls, AC Moore Arts & Crafts, PetsMart with a PetsHotel, Red Lobster, Chili's and Starbucks to the development.
"We are excited to work with Hartz Mountain and be part of Secaucus. Our theatre will bring premier quality cinema design and industry-leading customer service to this location," said Dean Kerasotes, chief operating officer for Kerasotes ShowPlace Theatres.
In addition to Secaucus, Kerasotes Showplace Theatres also has planned to open a 16-screen stadium style multiplex with 3,992 seats at Hartz Mountain's new development Edison Town Square soon.
