HOME PRICES TUMBLED TO a two-year low in the first quarter, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) says, with the median price for houses and condos sliding 1.8% to $212,000 across the country.

Housing prices are expected to continue to fall in the second and third quarters of the year, NAR says, then begin to climb again in early 2008. Lower prices helped bargain-hunters boost overall sales 2.4%.
