ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 4, 2003

The Pierre Laclede Center office complex, which houses the landmark Saint Louis Club, has begun offering its commercial tenants access to a fiber optic communications network for their voice, data, and high-speed Internet

services. Most other office buildings in the area still rely on traditional copper telephone lines for their communications needs.

Pierre Laclede Center at 7701 - 7733 Forsyth Blvd., has connected the two-building center to a fiber optic network operated by Chesterfield-based Digital Teleport Inc., which owns one of the region's largest fiber optic networks. Tenants in the complex can now take advantage of a variety of fiber-based services such as ultra high-speed Internet access and data transport.

"We are lowering the hurdle bar for many of our tenants to stay abreast of leading-edge communications technology that is vital for their business success going forward," said David Hilton, property manager for Colliers Turley Martin Tucker, which manages Pierre Laclede Center in Clayton.

"Our tenants are now able to simply place an order for service and have a jack installed in their computer room that will allow connection speeds many times faster than traditional T-1 lines for about the same cost," Hilton said. "What's more, our tenants will not have to make a major capital investment in a computer box that coverts light to Ethernet access."

For commercial tenants operating in today's data-intensive business environment, high-speed communications is quickly becoming as vital as electricity; they can't operate without it. Efficient and reliable access to new technology also allows Pierre Laclede Center to attract and retain tenants in the highly competitive commercial office space market.

Primary Network, the largest locally owned and operated Internet Service provider in business since 1994 has teamed with Digital Teleport to provide Internet access and a variety of managed IP services over this next generation fiber optic network. Already several of the largest tenants in Pierre Laclede Center have begun using the new fiber connections and Primary Network for their voice and data communications. For more information about the advanced services now available at Pierre Laclede, tenants should call 314-692-3500 or visit www.primary.net.
