Atlantic Realty Celebrates Grand Opening of Ashbrook Commons Shopping Center In Ashburn, VA; Harris Teeter, Home Goods & AC Moore Lead Retail Tenants at 200,000 SF Center.

ASHBURN, Va. -- Atlantic Realty Companies, one of the DC region's largest real estate developers, will celebrate the grand opening of Ashbrook Commons, a 200,000 sq. foot community retail center in Ashburn, VA, located at Route 7 and Ashburn Village Blvd., this Saturday, June 18th from 9am to 1pm. Harris Teeter, Homes Goods, AC Moore and Starbucks lead the list of 28 retail tenants that have signed on. The project also includes The Lakes at Ashbrook, 107,000 sq. feet of professional condominiums that are currently 75% committed.

David A. Ross, president of Atlantic, will welcome Lori L. Waters, Broad Run District, Loudoun County Board of Supervisors; Robert J. Klancher, Planning Commissioner, Broad Run District and other local leaders for the official ribbon cutting ceremony at 9am followed by a morning of fun for the entire family. Music, entertainment, food & refreshments, games & crafts, and photos with Dad are among the activities planned.

Ashbrook Commons will serve approximately 25,000 existing households located within a five-mile radius, as well as the thousands of new homes that are under construction in the area. In recent months Atlantic has overseen site and infrastructure improvements, including several new roads that will serve the site. WDG of Washington, DC, which has worked with Atlantic Realty on Reston's Plaza America, served as the architect for both the retail center and the professional condominiums.

The site totals 41 acres with the community retail center occupying 30 acres. The professional condominiums will occupy the remaining 11 acres and be comprised of seven two-story buildings. The site is part of a 277-acre mixed-use project developed by Atlantic Realty for Loudoun Intertech Development Corporation.
