Developer Remains Optimistic for Future of Downtown Salina, Kan., Building.

Nov. 15--A downtown business district that had been inching toward revitalization seemed to take a giant step backward when the Kennedy and Coe accounting firm announced in February plans to leave the United Building for a new facility in south Salina by next summer.

Downtown business owners wondered aloud how the migration of those 75 employees would affect their bottom lines and what it would mean to the future of the district.

Those fears might be put to rest
