Navy Rear Adm. William J. Maguire has been named vice commander of the Naval Supply Systems Command, in Mechanicsburg, Pa. Most recently, he served as deputy commander of the fleet logistics operation, also at the Naval Supply Systems Command.
Air Force Maj. Gen.
Air Force Brig. Gen. Jeffrey B. Kohler has been named special assistant to deputy chief of staff of Air and Space Operations, in the U.S. Air Force headquarters at the Pentagon. Previously, Kohler was vice commander of the Pacific Air Forces at Osan Air Base, Korea.
Air Force Brig. Gen. Maurice L. McFann Jr. has been assigned as director of plans at the Headquarters North American Aerospace Defense Command, at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. Previously, McFann was deputy commander, Joint Command North, NATO, in Stavanger, Norway.
Air Force Brig. Gen. Craig R. MacKinley has been appointed deputy inspector general of the Air Force, based at the Pentagon. Previously, MacKinley was deputy director of the Air National Guard in Arlington, Va.
Vickie L. McCall has been reappointed chair of the Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services (DACOWITS) for 2001.
Air Force Maj. Gen. Howard J. Mitchell has been assigned as director of operations, at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.

Rockwell Collins has appointed Kent Statler vice president for Lean Electronics. Statler has been at Rockwell Collins for more than 13 years, in various positions. Most recently, he was vice president of maintenance operations for Collins Aviation Services.
Messier-Dowty has designated Martyn Hurst senior vice president. He will continue in his role of senior vice president of Messier Services. Hurst joined Dowty Aerospace in 1991.
General Dynamics has named Walter M. Oliver vice president for human resources. Oliver joins General Dynamics from Ameritech Corporation, where he served as vice president for human resources since 1994.
Sam Artis has been chosen as director for small business affairs at Washington Group, in Boise, Idaho. Artis has served in various positions at the Washington Group since 1975.
