San Diego Chapter names fleet support award winners.

The association's San Diego Chapter is honoring four area government employees for their support of naval operations, announced Chapter President Kathy Sridhar. Receiving the chapter's 2003 Fleet Support Awards are:

* Donna Williamson, of the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems

* Chief Petty Officer Robert Taylor, of the Navy's Pacific Tactical Training Group.

* Tamra Codron, of the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command.

* Capt. Matthew Limbert, of the Maine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity.

"These awards are the local industry's way of saying 'Thanks, and well done' to die government professionals who have made unique contributions to the readiness of our Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard forces," Sridhar said.

Each award comes with a check of $2,500.

"This year, the selection process was particularly tough, with the high tempo of wartime operations our local forces have seen over the past year," said Sridhar.

"In choosing these individuals, we had to select from more than 40 top performers, who have had a direct impact on the fleet," said retired Navy Capt. Jane Renninger, of Northrop Grumman, who chaired the selection committee.
