PC-BASED CONTROLLERS.
Xycom Automation has introduced OpenCNTRL Series XAC3400 Industrial Controllers with Windows CE, a new line of scalable product solutions for PC-based control applications. The products also are equipped with flash drives, and Windows CE was specially developed for use with nonrotating flash drives to provide ruggedness and stability against plant-floor vibration, moisture and shock hazards. Xycom Automation Controllers provide customers with preconfigured, pretested bundled packages, combining an industrial PC and XycomASIC control software. The XAC3400 Series controllers combine the benefits of a PLC, distributed control system and motion controller into one system, with the advantages of open technology that simplifies program development, expands I/O subsystem choices and simplifies integration into enterprisewide communication.
