DOMESTIC ABUSE OCCURS IN 3% OF HOUSEHOLDS

Domestic violence against a person aged 12 and older occurs in 3 percent of households, the Bureau of Justice Statistics reported.

BJS presents findings for household crimes including vandalism and intimate partner violence. Data are presented by region, by urban, suburban or rural location

and by household size. Overall trends since 1994 are also included.
