Intertek Testing Services' (ITS) ETL SEMKO division has named Deborah E. ppola vice president of human resources. Coppola will oversee all strategic HR business planning, employee relations, training and development, recruiting and retention, employee payroll and benefits services, as well as

people-related policies and practices. Coppola joined ITS in 1994 as a regional HR manager and was promoted to HR director in 1997. Prior to ITS, she worked for commercial printer R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co. as an HR generalist. Coppola has a bachelor's degree in business from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H.

Phyllis K. Lyons has joined NexTrade Holdings Inc. as manager of recruiting and human resources. Lyons will be responsible for information technology recruiting and administration of human sources initiatives. Before joining NexTrade, she was assistant director and assistant vice president of human resources at Legg Mason Wood Walker Inc., a broker-dealer in Baltimore. Lyons earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and an MBA from the University of Houston.

RJ Johnson has been named vice president of business development, Affinity Programs, for GMAC Home Services. In her new role, Johnson will focus on new strategies and programs to bring to current and prospective clients. Johnson has almost 20 years of experience in the real estate and relocation industry. Prior to joining GMAC, she served in various relocation positions, including president of relocation services for a real estate company in North Carolina. Johnson holds associate's degree in business administration and the Certified Relocation Professional designation from the Employee Relocation Council.

Lancelot Mars, PHR, was recently licensed as a nursing home administrator in New York State. Mars is currently the assistant administrator at SS. Joachim & Anne Residences in New York. He has an MBA in human resources management from Pace University in New York and is currently a doctoral candidate in the health care administration program at Kennedy-Western University.

Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Co. has appointed Jack Ehnes vice president, government relations. Ehnes, former Colorado Commissioner of Insurance, will serve as/liaison to federal and state legislators and regulators and will work with sponsors of government health and retirement savings plans. He has spent more than 17 years in public service with the state of Colorado. He is currently director of state risk management and employee benefits for the stare, and a board member of the Public Employees Retirement Association of Colorado.

Marketing Resources of New York Inc. has promoted Ellen M. Peinkofer to vice president of finance. Peinkofer joined the agency as controller in 1994. She has an accounting degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Jennifer Hooper has joined matthews/mark, an integrated communications s human resources manager. Hooper's responsibilities will include recruiting and training new personnel, administrating company benefits and implementing and identifying staff retention programs. Prior to coming to matthews/mark, she was human resources manager for The Remington Club by Marriott. Hooper holds a bachelor of science degree from California Polytechnic State University--San Luis Obispo.
