PARK AND RECREATION PROGRAM RELIES ON PRINTERS TO PRODUCE ON-DEMAND PICTURE IDS

Colorado's Arapahoe Park and Recreation District (APRD) is charged with planning, acquiring, developing, maintaining, and programming parks, open spaces, trails, and recreational amenities for residents and non-residents of Arapahoe County.

Formed in 1982, APRD is a growing park district with

eight developed parks, five miles of trails, and more than 300 acres of maintained natural areas. The district shares elementary school playing fields with a neighboring local school district and has an agreement with a nearby city for privileges at the Saddle Rock Golf Course.

Last November, APRD opened the long-awaited Trails Recreation Center. The state-of-the-art center features a swimming pool, rock climbing wall, athletic facilities, and party rooms.

Photo identification cards allow residents and nonresidents to access all APRD services. In addition, cards are used by staff members to clock in and out. The district uses P420i printers from Zebra Technologies Corp., Camarillo, CA, to create the cards.
