SPECIAL SECTION: GSA EXPO

From the Alamo historic mission to the River Walk recreational area, many attractions make San Antonio, TX, an enviable tourist destination. The city also greets a constant stream of conventions, of which this year's roster includes a massive training conference and trade-show exposition sponsored by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA).

Slated for May 15 to 18, 2006, the GS A's 12th annual International Products and Services Expo will be held in San Antonio's Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Admission to the Expo is free for all government employees and military personnel. Any non-government individual can attend the show for a fee of $500.

The annual Expo is designed for all levels of government personnel who make or influence procurement decisions. By attending the event, public purchasers can learn from the experience of their peers, as well as receive a first-hand look at the products and services of private-sector suppliers. Many federal buyers will be able to place onthe-spot orders in the exhibit hall, using government credit cards and online tools such as GSA Advantage and eBuy.
