San Bernardino, Calif.— HDR, a world-wide architectural, engineering and consulting firm, will be a consultant for Jacobs Civil Engineering, a local firm, on a $27-million project called the 5th Street Bridge. The project is the first in a $500-million upgrade along the I-215 corridor through
the city of San Bernardino. Other projects include new HOV and mixed-flow lanes in each direction. The San Bernardino Associated Governments (SANBAG) in cooperation with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 8, is developing this six-mile corridor improvement. Construction is expected to take some five years to complete.
