Lane Clark & Peacock (LCP) has boosted its investment and pensions actuarial practice with the appointments of Chris Helyar and James Hughes as partners.

Helyar joined LCP's actuarial department in 1994 with a first in maths from Durham University. After qualifying as an actuary in 1999 he moved to the investment department. Helyar is head of LCP's research of fixed income managers. He
