Accounting firm helps faculty research at CSUN: SingerLewak cites large influence of school...

This regular feature focuses on philanthropic activities by Valley-area companies and businesspeople.

A Los Angeles accounting and management consulting firm will have a student lounge named for it following a donation to the California State University at Northridge Foundation.

The undisclosed gift from Singer Lewak Greenbaum & Goldstein LLP creates a fellowship fund to support faculty research in the field of accounting.

Also included is the naming of a professor as the Singer Lewak Greenbaum & Goldstein Faculty Fellow.

Additionally, a lounge to honor students in the business degree programs has been named the Singer Lewak Greenbaum & Goldstein Business Honors Student Lounge.

Singer Lewak Managing Partner David Krajanowski said the firm is appreciative of the contributions the university makes to educating future accountants and has been a resource for more than 30 years.

"More than 10 percent of the L.A. office staff graduated from CSUN," said Krajanowski, himself a 1977 graduate. "It is difficult to work at SLGG and not bump into someone who calls CSUN their alma mater."

Singer Lewak has multiple offices in Southern California including Woodland Hills.
