Bombardier (TSX:BBD.A) (TSX:BBD.B) announced today that former Auditor General of Canada L. Denis Desautels has joined its Board of Directors.

Mr. Desautels served as Auditor General of Canada from 1991 to 2001 following a 27-year career at Ernst & Young.
Mr. Desautels is currently a member of the Accounting Standards Oversight Council for the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, as well as a member of the Conference Board of Canada's National Awards in Governance Advisory Committee. He is also a member of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board and Chair of the Capital Health Alliance. Mr. Desautels also sits on the Boards of Directors for CARE Canada, the Laurentian Bank of Canada and Groupe Jean Coutu (PJC) Inc. On Oct. 1, 2001, he was named Executive Director of the University of Ottawa's Centre on Governance.
