AKRON, Ohio -- Construction has begun on a new office park in Fairlawn that will include the new headquarters of the regional accounting firm of Bober, Markey, Fedorovich & Company. Construction at the site, located near the northeast corner of Ridgewood and Cleveland-Massillon Roads, will

Bober, Markey, Fedorovich & Company plans to share the 62,000-square-foot building with The Welty Building Company, which is also the office park's developer. The firm plans to relocate to the newly developed site in November, 2006.

Bober, Markey, Fedorovich & Company has experienced strong growth during the last few years, including a 20 percent addition to its staff that prompted a need for additional office space.

"This measured growth is a result of expanded relationships with many long-term clients, as well as the acquisition of new client engagements," said Richard C. Fedorovich, BMF&C Managing Partner.

Fedorovich said new audit and accounting requirements associated with the federal Sarbanes-Oxley Act have been a driver for some of the firm's growth, along with new engagements in business valuation, litigation support and forensic accounting, manufacturing and wholesale distribution, construction, benefit plan auditing and tax consulting.

The new site keeps BMC&F close to its regional client base and more convenient to Cleveland. Fedorovich expects that the Fairlawn location will make it easier for the firm to recruit young professionals who live in Cleveland.

Beyond the firm's office space, the building will include an educational training facility that seats 70 to 80 people. The training facility will make it more convenient for clients to attend industry roundtables on topics such as taxes and valuation, and for the firm to provide various classes for business owners and financial executives.

Bober, Markey, Fedorovich & Company, founded in 1959, is one of the largest regional independent public accounting firms in Northeast Ohio.
