Tonya Evans-Walls was named an assistant law professor. Prior to joining Widener last year as a visiting professor, she was a managing member of TME Law, a Philadelphia-based boutique firm. She has a law degree from Howard University School of Law. Michael Slinger was named associate dean of information services and technology, director of the legal-information center and alawprofessor. Most recently, he was associate dean, director of the law library and a law professor with Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in Ohio. He has a law degree from Duquesne University and a master of library-science degree from the University of South Carolina.

Millersville University named Robert F. "Chip" German Jr. vice president of infor- mation technolo- gy. Previously, he was vice president of information re- sources and chief information officer with the University of Mary Washington in Virginia. Thomas C. Helmacy of Wyoming County was named to the Hardwoods Development Council; Samuel E. Hampden Township-based Defense Information Systems Agency, which is part of the Defense Enterprise Computing Center Mechanicsburg, named Capt. Patrick O. McCabe of the U.S. Navy Supply Corps unit commander. Previously, he was commanding officer of the Navy Supply Information Systems Activity in Hampden Township.

Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center named Dr. Christopher J. DeFlitch chief medical-information officer. He will oversee clinicalinformation technology systemwide and continue as vice chairman and director of the department of emergency medicine. He has a medical degree from the College of Medicine and has been a faculty member with the school since 1998.

Fairview Township-based Quantum Imaging & Therapeutic Associates Inc. named Dr. Patricia BarryLane a radiologist with their practice. She has a bachelor's degree from Simmons College in Boston and medical and doctoral degrees from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

The Gettysburg Convention &Visitors Bureau elected Peter Monahan chairman. He is the owner of the Quality Inn at General Lee's Head the headquarters' museum and gift shop. He is a graduate of Mount St. Mary's University.
