Packaging and bottling systems manufacturer Krones Inc. has formed a new executive management group, naming Bernhard Baumgartner as President and Chief Executive Officer, replacing retired Rudolf Zeus and directing all sales and marketing, research and product development, customer support services and finance. His most recent position was Executive Vice President, Marketing and Sales/ Finance Worldwide for Max Kettner GmbH, which was acquired by Krones AG, the parent of Krones Inc., in 1998.

Ronald Wallner has been appointed as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, responsible for operations management and purchasing, manufacturing, technical service, engineering and information systems. Wallner began his career with Krones AG as Purchasing Director for commercial machines and was later promoted to Executive Purchasing Director Worldwide.

Rick Niespodziani fills the office of Vice President, Service, in charge of product support, customer service, field service, training and used equipment departments. Prior to joining Krones, he was Vice President, Aftermarket, of Morris Material Handling. Previously, he served as Vice President and General Manager, Product Support, as well as progressive general and financial management positions at P&H Material Handling.

Enercon promotes three managers

Packaging equipment producer Enercon Industries Corp. has named Rick Hammen as Vice President--Product Development, Dan Nimmer as Vice President--Operations and Gerald Makovec as International Sales Manager.

Hammen has been involved with the company's new product development for both corona treating and cap sealing systems for more than 11 years. He has 25 years of experience in the converting/packaging industries.

In his 15 years of service with the company, Nimmer has held positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as Director of Operations.

With Enercon for five years, Makovec assumes international sales responsibility and has more than 14 years of experience in international sales.
