Sanmina receives ISO and TL certification, FDA approval.
Sanmina-SCI Corp. (San Jose, CA, www.sanmina-sci.com) has become the first EMS company to achieve ISO 9001:2000 and TL 9000 release 3.0 certification for its 14 communications-focused enclosure facilities.
The facilities, located in eight countries around the world, were certified by
Sanmina-SCI also announced the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) recommended approval of Sanmina-SCI's medical facility in San Jose to manufacture the NovaSure system radio frequency controller from Novacept Inc. (Palo Alto, CA, www.novacept.com).
The announcement follows the successful completion of a five-day audit of the medical facility, in which FDA inspectors conducted an evaluation of the facility's internal quality system, including compliance to FDA quality system regulations.
