EVault Inc, a data protection solutions company, announced on Monday (5 February) the release of EVault Web CentralControl, which is designed to simplify the management of data protection environments for businesses.

EVault Web CentralControl is available for EVault InfoStage and EVault Protect customers as well as service providers offering data protection services based on EVault technology. EVault says the solution is an easy-to-use web interface for managing and protecting data assets across the network, remote offices or different companies.

The new release of EVault Web CentralControl provides enhanced features that facilitate management of the data protection environment, including:at-a-glance dashboard, which allows users to verify that backups have occurred; wizard-driven interface; agent self-registration; customisable workspaces; agent and job propagation, which facilitates management for larger, more complex environments; role-based user access; as well as broad platform support, including Microsoft Windows, Sun Solaris, Linux, IBM AIX, Microsoft Exchange, Oracle databases, Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Clusters.

EVault Web CentralControl is included with the purchase of EVault InfoStage software and the EVault Protect online service. No pricing details were disclosed.
