PLATINUM PYRAMID AWARD

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

Company: Wompro

The products may be cute but comprehensiveness and sheer attention to detail won promotional company Wompro the premium prize at this year's Pyramid Awards.

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation was looking to raise more than A$600,000 through the sale of merchandise by volunteers. The money would go towards research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.

The foundation's aim was to increase the sell-through rate of merchandise from 65% in 2002 to 80% in 2003.

Wompro developed an entire range of merchandise inhouse revolving around the jelly baby: a jelly baby key ring, stickers, bubble clocks, pens and lapel pins all branded with the word "hope".

The range was designed to meet a series of key price points and was packaged in a branded display box.
