PSAROS APPOINTED QRU CEO

The Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) has appointed commercial manager Theo Psaros CA as chief executive officer. Psaros takes over from former Wallabies forward Jeff Miller who vacated the post earlier this year to replace Andrew Slack as Queensland coach. Psaros joined

the QRU as finance manager in 1998 and had been serving as acting CEO since Miller finished his duties at the end of August.

TAB's recent merger agreement with UNiTAB will create Australia's secondbiggest gambling company behind Victoria's TabCorp, with an expected market capitalisation of $2bn, wagering turnover greater than $71bn and total revenue of $1.4bn.

ICAA MEMBER MOVE

CDS Technologies Ltd announced the appointment of Bryan Mason FCA as co-company secretary and as financial controller. Mason is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and was previously a senior finance executive with Shell Australia Ltd.
