Surface Inspection Summit 2004.

From October 26-27 the Surface Inspection Summit will be held at Eurogress Aachen in Germany. TEMA's programme for the SIS 2004 has as the topic 'data usage', the Surface Inspection Summit will focus on a subject that many experts consider to be a substantial milestone for aluminium and steel

producers. The attraction of this topic opens new horizons for the SIS 2004: It is the first time worldwide that there will be experience reports on the use of innovative data usage technology. In addition, there will be the first presentation on pioneering web inspection for tissue and, for the first time, there will be an interdisciplinary exchange of knowledge between suppliers of inspection systems and experts in automation and business process optimisation. Alongside suppliers of surface inspection systems such as ABB or Parsytec and their users, this year's conference will also give participants from around the world the opportunity to meet established specialists like IDS Seheer, SAP, Broner Metals or TietoEnatm:

For the first time, the SIS 2004 will offer separate aluminium, steel and paper sessions in order to best fulfil the individual needs of each industry. As well as manifold experience reports and presentations of product innovations, new ideas and concepts for the future application of quality data will be developed in the 'Open Space Session'. This is an opportunity for many users to directly influence the future of surface inspection.
