Construction's Future is Bright

Friday, December 7 2007

We said it for years - constructon and thus, your profession cannot be outsourced to other countries. For this and many reasons, we believe the construction industry is the best industry int the United States. See the excerpt below from the U.S. Dept of Labor

Employment data indicates that construction employment will increase 11.4 percent over the 2004-14 period. Construction is the only goods-producing sector in which employment is projected to grow. Total employment for all industry sectors is projected to grow 14.8 percent.

A hole cannot be dug in another country and then, imported to America. Construction and it's sister, Demolition are "insitu" or happen in the place where they eventually reside.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a slight uptick in construction's market share of youngsters entering the U.S. labor market.
