Guilford County, N.C., Jobless Rate Shows Decline.

Apr. 16--The jobless rate in High Point and Guilford County fell between January and February.

Dan Williams, who heads the state Employment Security Office in High Point, said unemployment in the city dropped from 7.2 percent in January to 7 percent by the end of February. The number is also an improvement over the 7.5 percent unemployment rate recorded in February of last year.

Combined with statistics from Greensboro and Winston-Salem, percentages also showed optimism, with unemployment dropping from 6.1 to 5.8 percent.
