The fear of unemployment is the greatest fear of Israel's working population. A survey showed that 80 percent of the people of working age in Israel see unemployment as their major fear. This percentage is higher than in Europe where 66 percent of working age people reported unemployment as their major fear. Unemployment rates in many European countries are as high as those in Israel, so the employment situation in the economy
