Men at Work SIgns: No More in Atlanta!

 Seems that the old signs "Men at Work" are just that - old.

Pink magazine editor Cynthia Good grew tired of seeing these signs and did something about it. Now, Atlanta will be replacing those signs with ones that state Workers Ahead.

Ms. Good feels that since we would not tolerate signs that say "White's Working" or something similar that addressed someone else's race, we should not tolerate signs that specify only "men" are working. What about the women on the site?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. I've never given a second thought to "men at work" signs. To me it is a lot like saying a general "he" when speaking or writing. It's just the way that it is said and it doesn't refer to a real 'gender' in my mind.

Yet Cynthia says that this is normal; we don't think about it, says Good, but it is the small innuendos that creep up on us and instill these ideas in our head.
