Westport Recognized for Social Responsibility.

Westport Innovations, Inc., a leading developer of technologies that allow engines to operate on clean-burning fuels, recently announced it was presented the 2005 Leadership in Social Responsibility Award at the Technology Impact Awards ceremony held late last week in Vancouver and sponsored

by the British Columbia Technology Industries Association (BC TIA).

Westport said it was recognized for its integration of corporate social responsibility (CSR) principles into corporate culture and operations, as well as its contributions to the community.

"[Westport's] commitment to CSR is evident not only in their clean engine products and technologies, but also in how they manage the environmental footprint of their operations...," said BC TIA vice president Cindy Pearson.
