Grant supports alternative fuel pumps in North Carolina.

A federal grant worth $590,000 will help pay for new ethanol and bio-diesel pumps in the Charlotte, North Carolina, region.

With the help of the grant, fuel station owners in the state will pay roughly half the cost of pumps, storage tanks and other infrastructure.

North Carolina

currently has 12 ethanol and 16 bio-diesel stations.
