Abengoa Completes First Phase of Ethanol Plant Construction.

The Associated Press (AP) recently reported that St. Louis, MO-based Abengoa Bioenergy has finished the initial phase of construction at its new ethanol plant in Ravenna, NE, with the company now looking to produce enough gallons of the alternative fuel by the end of June to qualify for state

production incentives.

AP said plant manager Brian Pasbrig noted that construction on a facility expansion is scheduled to begin later this year and potentially be completed by the end of 2006.

With full operational capability, company officials said the plant is anticipated to be capable of producing approximately 88 million gallons of ethanol per year.
