Vanguard Airlines, a US carrier, will launch a new service to Colorado Springs with a special introductory fare of USD49 each way. The airline will offer two daily nonstop flights between Kansas City and Colorado Springs Airport from 20 December. The new Colorado Springs service will also provide connecting service to eight Vanguard destinations from the company's Kansas City hub.
German airline Lufthansa is doubling the number of its flights from Hong Kong to Munich to six due to rising demand. The increase in the flights will begin on 3 December. The airline, which has been increasing flights to China and adding Chinese flight attendants, will also add three Munich-Shanghai flights beginning in March 2002, and is awaiting approval of more flights to China, reported The Associated Press.
