KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is considering changing its Caribbean stop-over location on two of its Netherlands-South America flights to Bonaire instead of Curacao.

KLM's MD-11 flights from Amsterdam to Lima, Peru and Guayaquil, Ecuador currently stop in Curacao's Hato Airport. However Bonaire has made an offer to cater the flights at a lower price. Bonaire's smaller airport has had to demonstrate its fuel handling, catering and in-transit facilities for passengers.

It is unclear when KLM will make its final decision. None of KLM's flights from Europe to the Netherlands Antilles - including the islands of Curacao, Saba, Bonaire, St. Eustatius and St. Maarten - will be affected, reported The Associated Press.
