Ryanair asks court to prevent airport strike.

Irish low-fare airline Ryanair reportedly went to court yesterday (16 March) in order to prevent airport workers from striking.

Ireland's biggest trade union SIPTU has called a six-hour strike at Dublin, Shannon

and Cork airports for Thursday morning (18 March), to protest against plans to break up airport operator Aer Rianta.

Ryanair said that it made an application to the high court in Dublin to prevent disruption to more than 50,000 passengers, reported Reuters.
