GE to supply engines for Boeing aircraft ordered by Chinese carriers.

As part of a multibillion-dollar agreement with several Chinese airlines, General Electric will supply engines for 30 Boeing 737 aircraft.

Several Chinese airlines - including Air China, Shandong Airlines, Xiamen

Airlines, Hainan Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines - are to purchase the Boeing aircraft, which will be powered by engines from GE Aircraft Engines.

The engines - worth about USD300m - will be supplied through the company's CFM joint venture with French engine maker Snecma, according to The Associated Press.
