Trans World Airlines is offering a fare sale on some domestic, Canadian, Mexican and Caribbean routes. All fares must be purchased by 13 October and travel must be completed by 15 February, 2001. Other restrictions and blackout dates may apply.
Rolls-Royce PLC has received an order from the US carrier American Eagle for the new AE 3007-powered, 44-seat Embraer RJ 140 regional jet. The airline has converted its scheduled Embraer RJ 135 aircraft deliveries to Embraer RJ 140s and is exercising 66 further options, according to Dow Jones.
US carrier AirTran Airways has signed interline ticket and baggage agreements with Delta Air Lines, Trans World Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways and American Trans Air. Under the agreements AirTran Airways can issue tickets over the other carriers' routes, and vice versa, and also provide the transfer of baggage from one airline to another. The agreement also provide accommodation for passengers in the event of irregular operations.
Alaska Airlines has joined the GetThere Supplier Network in the GetThere Marketplace, a B2B travel marketplace providing online travel procurement to major corporations.
