CAE announces flight simulator orders.

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

CAE has taken orders from nine customers for 14 Full Flight Simulators for a total combined value of about USD200m.

New customer Crossair joins American Airlines, Asiana, FlightSafety Boeing Training International,

Lufthansa, PAN-AM International Flight Academy, Scandinavian Air Systems, Schreiner Aviation Training and Swissair for the simulation systems, which include a mixture of A340-600, Bombardier, Embraer, Fairchild-Dornier and ATR platforms.

All of the systems include the MAXVUE Plus visual system.

A spokesperson for CAE said that the prominence of orders for regional jet aircraft confirms the increasing importance of this sector.
