Cambodia to invest in Siem Reap airport terminal expansion.

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Cambodia is to spend roughly USD500,000 to expand the passenger terminal at Siem Reap's airport it was decided at a cabinet meeting recently.

Currently the terminal at Siem Reap's airport can only handle 200

passengers and the government wants to expand it to have the ability to handle up to 500 passengers said the director general of tourism So Mara.

The renovations at the airport are part of a larger project funded by a USD15m Asian Development Bank loan to the Cambodian government.
