Cintra receives 21 formal inquiries for airline privatisation.

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Cintra SA, the state holding company for Mexico's Mexicana and AeroMexico airlines, has said that it has received 21 formal inquiries from investors regarding the upcoming sale of the airlines.

Cintra will reportedly evaluate the inquiries to determine which ones will participate in the sale - out of the inquiries, 10 concerned the AeroMexico package and 11 were about the Mexicana package. According to The Associated Press, foreigners are limited to minority stakes in the airlines.

The names of the investors were not revealed.
