Alitalia extends period for capital increase.

The board of Italian state carrier Alitalia SpA decided on Monday (27 June) to extend the period for a capital increase until the end of 2005.
The period for a capital increase of up to EUR1.2bn was extended from the end of July to the end of December.
A shareholders' meeting is to be held on 29 July to approve the capital increase, which is part of a restructuring plan for the company, said Alitalia's chief executive.
