Hong Kong and Luxembourg agree to expand flights.

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Hong Kong said Friday (8 April) it has agreed with Luxembourg to expand cargo and passenger flights.

The two governments have agreed to lift restrictions on the number of flights from each side. Currently there

are 10 flights a week from each side. In addition, the agreement expands "fifth freedom" rights between the two countries to 29 points from 17. Fifth freedom allows airlines to carry passengers to one country, and then fly to another country, rather than have to return to the country of origin, reported the Associated Press.
